Think Like A Man Too Review

think-like-a-man-too

So I went to watch Think Like a Man Too over the weekend with my friends and I must say that was money well spent. Unlike the first movie which was based around the Book ‘Think like a man, act like a lady’ written by Steve Harvey, this is a stand alone story that has it’s own story line basis. So the original cast is back with a few additions such as Kelsey Grammer, Lala Anthony and Wendy MacLendon-Covey. So this time around we find our couples in Las Vegas for Michael (Terrence Jenkins) and Candace’s (Regina Hall) wedding, and guess who the best man is? Yep Cedric, played by the eccentric Kevin Hart who yet again steals the movie.

So without giving too much away we find everyone still in the same relationships and the are here to split up and have the bachelor and bachelorette parties separately. Cedric’s mother Loretta still doesn’t like Candace and continues to be the overbearing mother.Hijinks ensue that send our protagonists into multiple hilarious scenarios that just keep you entertained from beginning to end. I had an issue with one particular scene that was completely over the top, all I will say is that it involves all the women and a New Edition song. The couples all have issues to get over like in the last movie, but this time there is no book giving them the answers. They now have to deal with life changing decisions that couples face and must figure out how to solve them. While all this is going on Cedric is just running a muck and delivering punchline after punchline. The movie also has a few surprise guests appearances that just add that little magic.

Think Like a Man Too in my opinion managed to do something rare, it topped the first movie. It’s a great date movie but can also be enjoyed by a group of guys/girls all the same. I totally recommend seeing this movie for some comic relief and relaxation. Haven’t laughed that much since ‘The Other Guys’. Thank me later

Marlon Roudette – New Age (Video and Lyrics)

I haven’t updated in forever but I had to share this song. I hadn’t heard it in forever and I stumbled across it recently. It was a really beautiful song. If you have never heard it I am sure you will enjoy it.

If love was a word, I don’t understand.
Simplest sound, four letters.
Whatever it was, I’m over it now.
With every day, it gets better (it gets better)

Are you loving the pain, loving the pain?
And with everyday, everyday
I try to move on.
Whatever it was,
Whatever it was,
There’s nothing now.
You changed.
New Age.

I’m walking away, From everything I had.
I need a room with new colours.
There was a time,
When I didn’t mind living the life of others.

Are you loving the pain, loving the pain?
And with everyday, everyday
I try to move on.
Whatever it was,
Whatever it was,
There’s nothing now.
You changed.
New Age.

So much fire that it burned my wings.
Her heat was amazing.
Now I’m dreaming of the simple things.
Old ways, erased.
If love was a word,
I don’t understand.
The simplest sound,
Four letters.

Are you loving the pain, loving the pain?
And with everyday, everyday
I try to move on.
Whatever it was,
Whatever it was,
There’s nothing now.
You changed.
New Age.

Loving the pain, loving the pain?
And with everyday, everyday
I try to move on.
Whatever it was,
Whatever it was,
There’s nothing now.
You changed.
New Age.
